Salute to the Hollywood Rat Pack
The Recliners take the traditional “lounge sound” of Frank, Sammy, and Dino, and zoom if off galaxies. Their recipe is to mix standards from the '20s – '60s, add in newer songs from the '70s–'90s, swing them across the dance floor, add a generous shot of sultry bossa nova and cha-cha rhythms and blend . . . and you’re in martini heaven, baby!
Gaye has performed all over the world individually and as part of the group Saffire The Uppity Blues Women. She now tours nationally and internationally and has won numerous awards, including the prestigious Blues Music Award (formerly the W.C. Handy Award or the Grammy of the blues industry). She composes, sings, and plays acoustic guitar, slide guitar, and harmonica. She sees herself as a contemporary griot, keeping the history alive, delivering messages of empowerment, ministering to the heartbroken, and finding joy in the mundane.
