Ages: Grades 8 -12
Cost: $25 per workshop (VMFA members $20)
Registration: Early registration is encouraged; no walk-ins. Register online, by phone at 804.340.1405, or by mail-in registration form.
Description: These workshops serve as an introduction to multiple fields of art, cultures, and materials. Students will create works of art while working with professional artists. All materials are provided unless otherwise noted. Students should bring a snack or bag lunch or may purchase lunch at the Best Café.

[90] Life Drawing and Proportions (register online!)
2 sessions, Apr 21 & 28
12:30 – 4:30 pm
Practice sketching the human figure to scale. Students will sketch sculptures in the galleries, complete drawing exercises in the studio, and illustrate the human figure from a life model.

[91] Creative Blogging (register online!)
1 session, May 19
10:30 – 4:30 pm
From start to finish, create an online web log of an original idea or project you want to share with the world.
